All Clients Come from Conversations
I’ve had a lot of coaches ask me, “What’s the secret to getting clients?”
When I started coaching, I believed the answer was to attract attention. More social media posts, more blog posts, more podcast episodes. I tried it all, and it felt like I was constantly shouting into the void. It was exhausting, and nothing seemed to work consistently.
I had to ask myself: What is the goal? Was I trying to get attention and sell something, or was I trying to serve people who needed my help? It felt like a subtle shift, but it changed everything.
When I have worked with coaches in the past, I’ve invited them to consider a different approach. What if you could step away from the noise and the endless content creation? Instead, let’s explore how we can find and start conversations with people who need our help.
That’s what I learned. My clients don’t come from my content; they come from my conversations.
In this free webinar, I want to show you the power of this idea. We’ll talk about:
- Why coaching is different: Selling coaching is different from selling other services because no one needs coaching; it requires a genuine desire. This is about creating a trusting connection, not a transactional one.
- The myth of the funnel: We’ll explore why content funnels, social media, podcasts, and blogging can never be specific enough to build a sustainable practice. Clients want to be seen.
- A new way to think about selling: If clients come from conversations, then simply meeting and serving people is (almost) enough. You already have the skills to coach; let’s use them to enroll clients.
This is a chance to move past what you “should” do and instead to try something new, in a spirit of playfulness and discovery.
Join me September 4th at 11:30 AM (Central Time) for a free 60-minute session where we’ll dive into this topic. It’s an invitation to shift your mindset and learn a different, more human way to grow your practice.
