- You need to do less. Serve fewer audiences. Offer fewer services. Find one thing that you can do again and again and again until you get really really good at it.
- You need to charge more. Once you pick an audience, and develop a service they love with a high level of expertise, you can raise your prices — a lot. Higher than you think!
- You are not a superhero. You can’t do it all, so you need a team who’s going to do better work than you, make it possible for you to get away, and live with less stress.
Brad, I get how that advice makes sense, by my business is different… My clients won’t buy that… There’s no way that would work for me.<Insert the record scratching sound…>
Your business is NOT a ❄️snowflake❄️Yes, your business is unique. Yes, your clients are particular. But that doesn’t mean you have to do everything the hard way. In fact, believing that your situation is just so very different than anyone else in business prevents you from taking actions that will make your life so much easier. That one belief is costing you hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, if not more. If you are reading this and thinking, “But…” I want you to hit reply right now and tell me what’s so special about your business. Why can’t you simplify your offers, charge more, and pull yourself back so you can do less and your team can do more?
…I’m waiting.I’ll go further. If you are confident that’s true, send me an email, and I’ll book an hour on my calendar to talk it through with you. You bring your snowflake. I’ll bring my hairdryer.
