After Tuesday’s message, you’ve narrowed down your expectations for 2022 to just the most critical initiatives, things that have to be accomplished.
Good work! Now let’s make sure that they happen.
How have you done in past years?
Looking back over past years, what percentage of your annual goals got accomplished? Not how many did you make progress on? How many got done, finished, accomplished?
In those same years, how many times did you half-ass a vacation or scramble at the last minute to celebrate a birthday or anniversary? Did you get your taxes filed? We’re they filed on time?
As an old mentor of mine used to say, “The way you do anything is the way you do everything.”
Maybe you have a commitment problem?
When we commit to something, we decide that it will be done, come hell or high water.
Commitment is when you say “Yes!” and it means yes. It’s when you say you’ll be on time, and you show up on time. It’s when you make a goal, and that goal is completed at the end of the year!
You’re down to just those goals that have to be accomplished. Now it’s time to commit to accomplishing them.
What do you need to do to 100% commit to your essential goals? What needs to go on your calendar? What needs to happen today, this month, next month…
