So, you made it to the first week of December 2020. Congratulations! Well done.
Have you noticed that, even during the pandemic, December is the crazy-busiest time of the year?
- Clients want stuff done before the budget year is over.
- You’ve got your own year end stuff to work on.
- There are family traditions and obligations that divert your attention.
On top of that it’s dark all the time (at least here it is) and I’m starting to get a little shack wacky from staying inside all the time .
Rest is a part of work.
There’s no way you can exhale all the time. You’d die.
When we work hard we also need some hard downtime.
This year you’ve been working hard and still only getting half the results. I know that can make me want to work harder. “I’m behind, I’ve got to catch up!”
But that’s not how the world works! We only have so much to give, and this year, giving that much didn’t yield as much as last year.
What if you let it all slow down?
December, for many, is a time to spend with family. It’s a time for celebrating and resting.
Maybe this is a season when we don’t want to maximize our work hours and slay our to-do list? Or maybe we just need a different to-do list.
By the way, you can get a 5 day plan to get rid of that overwhelmed feeling and get moving again. Learn more here.
